Students of Delhi who failed Class X board exams will be enrolled under the NIOS

Students who could not pass the class X board examination will be enrolled under National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister and education minister stated recently.

Around 55,000 students have failed the examination.

Sisodia also added that the new centres will be set up by the Delhi government.

The centres will be more for girls.

There is no rule where Student who fails in class X cannot be given admission, It is relevant in government and private schools.

NIOS was selected to reduce dropout rates as their curriculum is relatively easier.

Government is also going to expand the education loan guarantee scheme to students studying outside Delhi. 

Sisodia also added “Students who are studying outside the capital is eligible to loan guarantee scheme and can avail the loans upto 10 lakh.”
