Rajasthan: Demonetization, Cashless Economy to be in school syllabus

Jaipur

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education is all set to include a chapter on Demonetization and Cashless Economy in its class XII syllabus.

The decision comes two months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi scrapped Rs 500/Rs 1000 bank notes in a bid to eliminate black money and make India cashless economy.

The new chapter will be introduced from the upcoming academic session.

“Looking at the present scenario in which government is pushing for cashless economy, the board has decided to include a chapter on demonetization and cashless economy in the text book of economics of class XII,” said Meghna Chaudhary, Secretary of RBSE.
