Punjab Agriculture Dept cautions against fake recruitment ads

The Punjab Agriculture Department has cautioned people not to fall prey to the advertisements appearing in various newspapers which make fake claims of recruitment to Kisan Call Centres by seeking applications from people in this regard.

The Agriculture Department advised the youth to be vigilant against such "fraudulent advertisements by suspicious agents/agencies who were luring the youth and collecting money with applications" by using various fictitious names to cheat people.

"Sometimes Rs 1,000 is demanded to simply send an application. These fraudulent agencies often attract unemployed youth by offering attractive salary," an official release said here today. It clarified that the Government Departments never demand money on the name of security, etc.

"In Punjab, State Kisan Call Centre is run by IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited (IKSL) and Government of India has recognized IKSL to recruit manpower in Kisan Call Centre. No other Agency/Institute has authority to recruit manpower in Kisan Call Centre," it further clarified.

"The people have been cautioned not fall prey and if someone receives a call from any company/agency regarding offering a job and demanding money then he/she should immediately inform Chief Agriculture Officer of the concerned district," it said.

Before applying and depositing money against any vacancy, everyone is required to personally seek advice and authenticate the details with respective Government Departments, the release added.
