JNU wins Visitor’s Award 2017

New Delhi

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has won theVisitor’s Award for best central university.

While President Pranab Mukherjee will present theaward at Rashtrapati Bhawan on March 6, 2017, Dr. Deepak Pant from CentralUniversity of Himachal Pradesh bagged the Visitor’s Award for Innovation.

Visitor’s Award for Research has been jointly wonby Dr. Shyam Sunder from Banaras Hindus University and Professor Niranjan Karakfrom Tezpur University.

While central universities such as Aligarh MuslimUniversity, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia and CentralUniversity of Rajasthan gave their respective nomination for the bestuniversity category, President Pranab Mukherjee will hand over the award to JNUvice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar.
