JNU student Rajini Krish commits suicide

New Delhi

In a shocking incident, a JNU student allegedly committed suicide due depression on Sunday evening.

Rajini Krish, 27-year-old- student of MPhil in JNU, was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

According to reports, Rajini had gone to his friend’s house on Sunday afternoon to have food in Munirka Vihar. He wanted to sleep and went to a room and locked himself from inside. His friends called him out and after getting no they called the police.

The police forced open the door and found the JNU student hanging from the ceiling fan.  

While his friends claimed that Rajini was depressed for sometime over some personal issues, police have not received any suicide note.

He was part of the Rohith Vemula movement in University of Hyderabad.

“There is no Equality in M.phil/Phd Admission, there is no equality in Viva-voce, there is only one denial of equality,” Rajini wrote on Facebook before committing suicide.
