Amit Kumar Sonker, Cameraperson at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC), Jamia Millia Islamia has bagged an award for his Short film titled ‘Tum Main Aur Hum Sab’ in the category of ‘Benefits of Accessible buildings for persons with disabilities’ given by the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Directed and produced by Sonkar, the film was selected among the best short films and given a cash award of four lakh at the Short Film Competition 2017 on Divyangjan Sashaktikaran (Empowerment).
Sonker also an alumnus of AJK MCRC, was presented the award along with other winners at a colourful function at Siri Fort Auditorium by the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Thaarwarchand Gehlot last week.
