AP govt announces schedule for teachers' recruitment
Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday announced the schedule for recruitment of over 9,000 teachers in the state.

The notification for recruitment of teachers under the District Selection Committee (DSC) would be issued tomorrow, state HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said on Thursday.

The recruitment will be done for 1,849 posts of school assistants, 812 posts of language pandits, 156 physical education teachers (PET)and6,244 posts of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT). The total number of posts is 9,061, he said.

The minister stated that the applications would be accepted from December 2, 2014 to January 16, 2015 and recruitment tests would be conducted from May 9 to 11.

Results would be declared on June 28 and the selected candidates are likely to join duties by next academic year, Rao said.

The recruitment of teachers is the fulfillment of a key election promise of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) though the process is delayed by about two months, the minister added.
