BSEB suspends affiliation of 36 schools for non-compliance
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) today decided to suspend affiliation of 36 schools and colleges across the state for not not complying with the prescribed norms and criteria to run these institutes.

"The Board has decided to suspend the affiliation of 36 schools and colleges for their failure to comply with the prescribed norms for running the institutions.

These schools and colleges failed to adhered to the criteria and norms set by the Board on which they had taken affiliation," BSEB chairman Anand Kishore said in a release here, reported PTI.

These schools and colleges have also been served show-cause notices asking them to explain why their recognition should not be cancelled, Kishore said, adding that the institutions have to reply within 15 days.

The Board was conducting an inquiry about schools and colleges which have been granted affiliation in past two years, he said.

Officials said the schools and colleges under the scanner were those which have been granted affiliation during the tenure of tainted former BSEB chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh.
