Admission Procedure for IIMC.
Indian Institute of Mass communication or IIMC offers Postgraduate Diploma Courses in various mass communication courses. They take the admission of the students on the basis of the entrance test, called as IIMC Entrance Test. In order the get admission in IIMC, the students must clear the IIMC entrance exam.

IIMC offers PF Diploma Courses in various streams of Journalism, Radio and TV Journalism, Advertising and PR, etc. The application forms start getting available by last week of March. The last date of the submission of the correctly filled application forms are in the second week of May. The institute issues the Admit cards for the entrance test by 3rd week of May.

The entrance exam is conducted separately for separate streams or courses in the last week of May. The paper is of two hours duration. The results are declared in the month of June in the third week most probably. The students who clear the IIMC entrance test will have to appear for an interview in the last week of June or the first week of July. The ones who are finally selected can start their sessions in the last week of July or the first week of August.

Eligibility

Only Indian nationals are eligible for the exam. The candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for the entrance test. The bachelor’s degree can be in any stream of study. The candidates who have already appeared or the ones who are appearing for a degree exam can also apply for IIMC Entrance Exam but they have to give an original provisional certificate from their college before the date as mentioned by IIMC. Else the admission will be cancelled.

The age limit is as follows. For General Category, the candidates born on August 1, 1992 or later are eligible to apply. For SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Category, the candidates born on August 1, 1987 or later are eligible to apply and lastly the OBC Category, the candidates born on August 1, 1988 or later are eligible to apply.
