National Law University, Raipur to hold moot court from October 17
Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur is going to organise the national moot court competition from October 17-19 based on environment related issues.

"As many as 30 teams from various colleges and universities across the country will take part in the 7th Hidayatullah Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2014 to be organised at university campus in Naya Raipur," Vice Chancellor HNLU Prof Sukh Pal Singh told PTI.

This year the institution has made a shift from the competition law aspects to the environmental law aspects.

The move had been made to draw attention towards the environmental issues which need to be addressed and resolved pragmatically for ensuring sustainability of the ecosystem as well as survival of all forms of life on the earth, Singh said.

Linking of inter-state rivers, cleaning of rivers are among to be discussed during the three-day long event, he said.

This year, a total of 43 teams had registered to take part in the event, out of which 30 have been shortlisted on the basis of memorial evaluation.

Almost all the National Law Universities ranging from NLASAR Hyderabad, NLU Delhi, NLU Jodhpur along with other universities and national law universities are participating in the event, he said.
